“Sorry! Sometimes I forget about the whole difference in slang.” Pearl apologised quickly as they got closer to the library. “Eejit is.. like an idiot, but more affectionate, I suppose.” She raised an eyebrow at Remus’ reddening cheeks, a small, cheeky grin slipping on to her lips. “Are you alright, Remus?” Pearl asked, only to be quickly shushed by Madam Pince as she pushed open the door. “Grumpy old bat,” she muttered under her breath, making sure to find an empty table far away from the irritating librarian.
Remus chuckled, and guided Pearl to an area close to the Potions section, though away from the Library’s Guard. He gathered some books, and laid them out so that he could use the references he was sure she’d need for the essay.
As Remus gathered materials, Pearl took out parchment and writing utensils, looking out a small window longingly. “Such a lovely day for quidditch,” she said with a sigh, picking up her quill and dipping it in ink, scratching the title on to the page. “I honestly can’t thank you enough for this, Remus. I’m sure you have much better things to be doing.”
“Black. Charming to bump into you.”
“I would say it’s a pleasure, but I would be lying half-blood.”
“Ooh, that stung, really,” Pearl deadpanned, rolling her eyes. “Honestly, I at least hoped you of all people would be more creative, considering my darling’s mothers.. roots.”

“Oh, uh, Professor! Hello!”

“Hi, uh. I’m Adam.”
“Hey, I’m Pearl! Pleasure to meet you, Adam.”

“Nice bowtie,” Pearl called out to the stranger, swinging her bag over her shoulder as she walked down the road. “You looking for someone?”
“Thank you.”
“Oh, yes. I’ve been looking for someone for a very long time…”
“My pleasure. Don’t see to many bowties around these days, last time I saw one was on Dad,” Pearl said, stopping in her tracks to speak to the intriguing stranger. “Well, d’you reckon I could help?”
“I hope they don’t hurt themselves thinking that much,” she joked, grinning back at him. “I’m a bird, am I? Charming, Remus, very charming.”
“That’s what the resident nerd is for…” He replied with a wink, “And well yes, a bird,…

thepearljones graced me with their presence
Strangely enough, something made her feel at ease with this meeting. Really she shouldn’t feel so calm. “Hi, can I help you?”
“Yes, actually. Have you seen a black dog wandering about? Big, shaggy, wagging his tongue at everything?” Sirius had thought it would be funny to change into his animagus form and bugger off half-way through his ‘walk’ to chase what Pearl imagined he thought was an attractive blonde of the female persuasion. Boys were idiots.

“Hello, boys.”
“Hi there,” Flynn grinned. “How you doin? The name’s Flynn Rider.”
“Very cool name you’ve got there, Flynn,” Pearl laughed. “I’m Pearl Jones, or just PJ. Whatever tickles your fancy, really.”
